Composer, Writer, GameDev
About Me
I am Lix (they/she/he), a writer, composer, and game developer from Germany.
Although I am a computer scientist by trade, my art has always been an important part of my life.
This website mainly showcases my music, as most of my work on games and stories has not been published yet.
Music
I am a very versatile composer, with works in various genres such as metalcore, rock, synthwave, and classical music.
My work is backed by extensive musical experience including eleven years of classical violin lessons, eight years as part of a symphonic orchestra, and as of now almost a decade of music production and composition.
All of my music is produced in FL Studio without the use of generative AI.
The following selection presnts an overview of the different kinds of musical work I have done thus far.
It is by no means complete, so if You want to commission a musical piece that doesn't quite fit the scope of these examples, please feel free to approach me nevertheless.
Symphony
I wrote this classical symphony in four movements as an homage to The Silt Verses, its world, and its characters.
It is also available as sheets here.
Video Game Music
This piece was commissioned as the title music for a yet to be published educational video game set in a newly planted forest. The game's vibe was described as 'cozy'.
This piece was part of the same game as the previous one. It consists of multiple layers which can be added in or removed to reflect the player's progress.
Athmospheric
This piece was used as background music for a session of the 'Alien' ttrpg. It aimed to create an unsettling athmosphere similar to that of the original 1979 movie.
This track takes the listener on a journey through a mystical underwater athmosphere.
Intros and Jingles
This piece was commissioned by a podcaster and live streamer. They were looking for an intro song reminiscent of Shostakovich's Waltz II.
This tense and threatening piece was developed as the intro for a quiz show.
Concept Pieces
This piece uses distorted animal noises to create an almost uncomfortably raw auditive experience.
This classical humoresque in F-Major was written for a small string ensemble.
Covers
This cover of The Cure's legendary hit "Lullaby" was produced, played and sung by me. The instrumental was reconstructed entirely by ear.
With this cover, I put my own spin on one of my favorite pieces from the cult classic rock-musical "The Phantom of the Paradise".
Games
Although I work on both video- and tabletop games, the only work of mine that has been published thus far is "Fruity Pirates", a One Piece themed ttrpg based loosely on the apocalypse engine.
It can be found here.
